National Associations

IKYTA supports the formation of National Kundalini Yoga Teachers Associations (NKYTAs) in each country where Kundalini Yoga is taught to serve the specific needs of each culture, language and laws. IKYTA is an umbrella to support the spiritual and professional growth of all teachers. The intention of each NKYTA is to unify teachers, in collaboration with IKYTA, to share the 3HO Lifestyle and Teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®.

IKYTA recognizes one National Association per country, guided by the purpose and principles of IKYTA. These associations hold a neutral space for all teachers and trainers in a country to connect and support each other professionally and personally.

All National Associations are recognized and promoted by IKYTA and are members of IKYTA. Each KRI-certified Kundalini Yoga teacher is encouraged to join your NKYTA. If your country doesn’t have one, teachers can join or renew their membership as an International Member directly with IKYTA.

IKYTA officially recognizes over 25 National Associations. Kundalini Yoga has inspired and uplifted teachers to grow from the local to the national level in 20% of countries worldwide! NKYTA leaders from around the world meet each month online to share, support and collaborate.
