Thanks to the service of thousands of Kundalini Yoga teachers, the community fabric around these teachings has spread around the world, and today has a global presence. 3HO Foundation continually invites us to experience the Healthy, Happy, Holy lifestyle typical of our tradition, where community life is key.

According to KRI records, today there are certified teachers from more than 52 countries, on every continent. IKYTA serves certified Kundalini Yoga teachers in their personal development and community building, highlighting professionalism and inspiring positive social change through service.

Thanks to the community development promoted by teachers and students in their localities, the National Kundalini Yoga Teacher Associations (NKYTAs) were born. Today NKYTAs exist in 29 countries with additional locations in process., These national organizations serve with the specific needs of each country and culture with great heart and sovereignty., They serve with a shared mission, in tune with the 3HO lifestyle and the KRI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. We are all one.

As part of the mutual collaboration of serving Kundalini Yoga teachers between NKYTAs and IKYTA, individual meetings are held with each National Association at least once a year. In this way we have the chance to understand a little bit better about each local community's process and how our mutual missions and needs meet to create opportunities for collaboration and connection.

By knowing more about each unique community (challenges, objectives, financial situation, how they work organizationally, etc.), we build a mosaic that expresses each association. We have noticed that the events of the last 2 1/2 years have impacted the dynamics and new challenges that have been presented. The most common changes that we have observed, with more or less impact depending on the community, are: how the teachers have related to the teachings, and the way the communities are organizing and producing their events (the advent of virtual meetings and events).

This information is especially important at this time for IKYTA in order to define the details of 2023 programs, as well as understanding how we can serve as a bridge, resource, and inspiration for the teachers and local associations.
